Brief

#SOTEniNDUGU “Kuna Maisha Baada ya Uchaguzi” was a social media campaign conducted during the 2015 General Election that addressed some electoral issues that threatened peace, unity and tranquility in the country during the election and post-election period. Such issues include Hatred/hate speech, Provocation, Human rights abuses, insults and intimidation among individuals who were differentiated by their political affiliations. The SOTEniNDUGU campaign targeted young people aged between 18 and 40 years, taking into consideration that almost 68% of the country’s population falls in that group.

Solution

We created a social media campaign which was based on user-generated content and ran it for four months on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Results

–  2,789 Posts Generated

–  890+ Photos Shared
